TheĀ Aspen Personalized Necklace is made of sterling silver / gold plated 18k. We use at least 2 microns of real 18k gold to ensure the item is durable and long lasting.
We don't recommend showering with gold plated items because over timeĀ the water can cause the gold layer to fade. If the item gets wet, it will not tarnish, simply dry it as soon as possible.
